Karnataka Vehicle Registration Number Search - How to search vehicle owner with Karnataka Vehicle Registration details?
Method 1:1. Go to https://parivahan.gov.in/rcdlstatus/vahan/rcstatus.xhtml. Another option is to visit http://transport.karnataka.gov.in/. You can find an option called 'Search' on the right side of the page just above the photo gallery. When you bring your cursor over it, you can find a link called 'Vehicle Search'. Click on the link.
2. Enter the registration number given in the text boxes.
3. Enter the Verification code in the box as shown on the page.
4. Click on the button 'Check RC Status'.
Use the 'Reset' button if you want to reset the vehicle search and search for a new vehicle with another registration number.
Method 2 - Temporarily down
1. Go to http://164.100.80.164/vehiclesearch/. This is the official Karnataka RTO website vehicle search option.
2. There are 3 options for vehicle owner details search. You can search for vehicle details by giving vehicle registration number or Chassis Number or Engine Number.
3. i) To search Vehicle details using Registration number, click on the 'Registration No' option and enter the registration number in the following format. Enter first 5 digits in the first box and next 4 digits in the second box.
For example, if you want to know the vehicle details for a vehicle with registration number KA01A 0000, enter KA01A in the first box and 4 digit vehicle number 0000 in the second box.
Enter the captcha text shown in the second box. Click on search button.
ii) To search with chassis number, click on the 'Chassis No' option. Enter the chassis no in the first box and enter the captcha text shown in the second box. Click on search button.
iii) To search with Engine number, click on the 'Engine No' option. Enter the Engine no in the first box and enter the captcha text shown in the second box. Click on search button.
If you want to know the vehicle details for a vehicle with registration number KA01A 0001, enter KA01A in the first box and 4 digit vehicle number 0001 in the second box.
Below is the table of Karnataka RTO Transport Vehicle Registration details. The first column is the serial number. The second column is the State and RTO series number details. KA stands for Karnataka State number. That is a vehicle which starts with KA in its registration number, it denotes that the vehicle is registered with KA RTO and it means that the particular vehicle is registered in Karnataka State. The format is same for all vehicle numbers registered in KA RTO offices. Only the RTO code and serial number vary.

If a vehicle has the number as KA 06 AA 0001, it means that it is registered in Tumakuru RTO in Karnataka state. AA denotes series. 0001 denotes the serial number.
If a vehicle has the number as KA 63 AA 0001, it means that it is registered in Hubli RTO in Karnataka state. AA denotes series. 0001 denotes the running serial number.
If a vehicle has the number as KA 65 AA 0001, it means that it is registered in Dandeli RTO in Karnataka state. AA denotes series. 0001 denotes the running serial number.

ReplyDeleteThe link is correct as of now but it is temporarily unavailable. You can go to http://rto.kar.nic.in/ and click on 'Vehicle Search' option in the left side bar. You will be redirected to this page. I do not find any alternate website. If I find, I will update here.
ReplyDeleteThe link has not been working for a while now. You can look up vehicle status on Vahan nic in but it shows only if the vehicle type, chassis no and which rto. For full details you can go to BangaloreOne center and request by paying a small fee.
