National Zoological Park New Delhi is one of the biggest zoos in India. Officially started on 1st November, 1959 with the name Delhi Zoo it was changed to National Zoological Park after being the model for the other Zoos in the country. With the 176-acre of land the Zoo provides home for endangered species and also helps them to breed.

- The Delhi zoo is open from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm during summers, that is from 1st April to 15th october.
- The timings in winter season is 9.30 am to 4.00 pm, that is from 16 October to 31 March.
- Zoo is closed on Friday and national holidays.
Delhi zoo Parking Charges:
Vast area of land is provided for parking so no need to worry about the parking space. Rs 40 is charged per vehicle. Make sure to reach in the morning during weekends to avoid crowd.

Services Inside:
The entire trip will take around 3 to 4 hours by walk. You can also opt for battery car which covers the journey in 1.5 hours. One of the main advantages of the battery service is its Hip and Hop facility where you can board any battery car at any time based on the seat availability. This facility provides the visitor to enjoy visiting all the animals without comprising the time. A normal battery car will have the capacity to carry 15 persons. For a disabled person wheel chair is provided free of cost.
